Female images on the reverse represnt Mother Earth. Abstract woodland floarl designs symbolize life, health, growth and fertility. The flared rim symbolizes sky world and a sculpted turtle within the pot represents the earth.  This one of a kind bowl is an original and contemporary piece of hand made Iroquois pottery. Steve Smith lives on the Six Nations Reserve in Ontario with his wife , Leigh Smith, who is also a potter. Their studio is open to the public. #1027   Price: $330
