This fine art sculpted pot depicts the Bear, a symbol of the knowledge, wisdom and the pursuit of good health and well being. Female images on the reverse represnt Mother Earth. Abstract woodland floarl designs symbolize life, health, growth and fertility. The flared rim symbolizes sky world and a sculpted turtle within the pot represents the earth. 

This one of a kind bowl is an original and contemporary piece of hand made Iroquois pottery. Steve Smith lives on the Six Nations Reserve in Ontario with his wife , Leigh Smith, who is also a potter. Their studio is open to the public.
