This lifelike carved bear head is made from moose antler, mounted on a deer antler tine and set on wood base.  The work is by Trevor Brant, Mohawk Nation. He resides on the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory in Ontario. Trevor has been carving for over 28 years. Best know for his work in antler, he also sculpts wood and bone. Many of Trevor's carvings interpret the stories and history of the Haudenosaunee people. (H.6", wood base  4.5" x 3.5").
