Beautifully carved sculpture with etched faces of mother and child made by Tom Huff of the Seneca Nation. The stone is a white alabaster. On the reverse side is a tendril of strawberry leaves. Height 7.5 inches
Huff is a stone sculptor whose work includes a variety of styles and themes, both traditional and contemporary. He also creates mixed media / found object sculpture. In much of his work, Huff addresses the current situation of Native Americans mixing cultural, stereotypical, political and autobiographical elements.
