Susan Hill is from Six Nations Reserve in Ontario Canada learned to do beadwork by watching her mother Mildred Hill, a frequent artisan at the Iroquois Festivals at the Museum.

 

Susan creates bracelets, necklaces, earrings, as well as loomed jewelry and dreamcatchers. She started doing beadwork to help defray the expenses of traveling to powwows, a cultural activity she has enjoyed since the 1970s.
